We are journalists under Rakai Journalists Association (RAJA) based in Rakai District in Greater Masaka Region. We are registered at a district level as Community Based Organisation (CBO). The association unites both active and veteran journalists, plus students in Media related fields in the promotion of media practitioners’ rights, and those of the residents in the development of the communities in which we operate. Being the first district to register the first HIV/AIDS case in Uganda, we have a role to play in the dissemination of information concerning the HIV/AIDs scourge in order to mitigate causal socio-cultural and other practices that propel the epidemic.
